Moab Photo Tours, LLC offers private and semi-private small group tours for individuals, families, or small Contact us ahead of time to let us know when you’ll be in the area, how many people will be in your group, your physical abilities, the number of days you’d like to tour, the length of tours desired, any specific location or subject preferences you may have, and any photographic techniques you’d like to learn. With this information and your input, we can design a tour that is just right for you. If you desire, we can also help you with accommodations in Moab. All tours include transportation in our 4WD vehicles to fantastic photo sites at the best light for photographing them, photo instruction from serious amateur to professional level as desired, and beverages & snacks or meals appropriate for the length of your tour. We’ll gladly share our knowledge of the area’s history, scenery, wildlife, geology, and vegetation to enhance your experience with us.
Half-Day ToursSunrise: We meet you up to one hour before sunrise, which gives us plenty of time to drive to the chosen Full-Day ToursFull-day tours are available in the fall, winter, and spring. Due to the long day length and summer heat, they are not available between 1 April and 1 October. Full-day tours start about one hour before sunrise and end about one hour after sunset. During the mid-day flat light period, we have lunch, seek out photo subjects that don’t require the early/late “sweet light” to look good, go for a 4WD scenic drive, or take a hike. The length of these tours varies with the season. Winter full-day tours last about 12 hours, while the spring/fall tours last up to 14 hours. We provide beverages throughout the day, a light continental breakfast with fresh fruit, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Combination Tours:
Disclaimer: It is important that you know how to operate your own particular camera. Due to the large numbers of different camera brands and models, most of which do not operate the same way, we cannot be expected to know the workings of your particular camera. We can teach you composition and photographic techniques, but probably not how to make your particular camera work. NEW! Moab Photo Tours is now offering Group Workshops in the Moab Area. For 2008, we currently have a 3-day back-country photo workshop in the Needles section of Canyonlands National Park in May, and a 5-day rafting/photography workshop down Cataract Canyon on the Colorado River in June.
